iPhone and computers
KeyUp on iPhone and any computer.
No install. The KeyUp web app runs in Safari on iPhone and in any modern browser on a computer. Talk with your crew, right next to their Android phones and watches.
Invite-only during the beta: you need an invite link from your crew or a beta code. Get started

What works.
The web app has the everyday things a crew needs. See every feature on iPhone
Talk and listen
Hold, Tap or Open mic, with the same talk button as the Android app.
Two rooms at once
Hear a second room quietly next to yours, and send it one message.
Messages
Room chat and direct messages. Reply, react, delete and report. See pictures and play voice notes.
Calls
Regular one-to-one calls while KeyUp is open, with call waiting.
Spaces and rooms
Create a Space or a room, switch rooms, star favorites, invite people and make guest passes.
Quiet
Mute a room, Mute all, Do not disturb and Take a break from #room.
Friends
Add people by username or friend code, message and call them.
Your data
Download my data, Email my data to me and Delete account.
The honest limits.
A web page can't do everything an app can. Here is what that means on iPhone.
Keep KeyUp open
A web page can only talk and listen while it is on screen and awake. Lock the phone or switch apps and it pauses.
Notifications need iOS 16.4+
And they work only from the Home Screen app. They cover messages, mentions, invitations, missed calls and pages. Calls do not ring while KeyUp is closed.
No private calls on iPhone
Safari does not offer what end-to-end encrypted calls need. Regular calls work.
No sending photos or voice notes
You can see pictures and play voice notes, but not send them, edit messages or replay Rewind.
No volume key or crown
Use the on-screen talk button. KeyUp also cannot lower other apps’ music while you talk.
After the beta Native iPhone and Apple Watch apps are coming after the beta.
Your mic is off
Add it to your Home Screen.
It opens full screen like an app, and it is how you get notifications on iPhone.
- Open KeyUp in Safari. Use the Open KeyUp button, or a guest pass link someone sent you.
- Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add. Step by step
- Open KeyUp from your Home Screen and sign in, or join as a guest.
- Turn on notifications in You > Notifications (iOS 16.4 or later). How
On a computer, hold Space to talk.
The push-to-talk key works while the page is open and focused, and never while you are typing. Pick another key in You > Sound > Push-to-talk key. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work.
