What gets sent to your AI provider, and what never does.
What it is
When the assistant is on and someone asks it something, the question and a few minutes of recent room conversation, only from people who agreed to the assistant, are sent to the AI company the Space owner connected, under the Space owner’s own account with them.
When to use it
Read this before turning the assistant on, or if someone asks what the AI can see.
How to do it

Everyone must agree once before the assistant can hear them: You › Privacy › Let the AI assistant hear me. If you haven’t agreed, nothing you say or type is sent to the AI company.

The assistant only gets the question, the asker’s display name and a short window of recent room conversation from people who agreed, so it can follow along. It never gets audio, email addresses, phone numbers, locations or anything from other rooms.

Voice questions are turned into text first by KeyUp’s own servers, so only the text of the question is sent to that AI company.

Rooms where the assistant isn’t turned on never send anything to any AI company.

Your API key is stored encrypted on KeyUp’s server, never shown again, and never sent to any phone or watch.
