Join with an invitation

Open a guest pass link and join with just your name.

What it is

Every KeyUp invitation link or QR code is a guest pass. It lets you into someone’s room for a while, from 1 hour up to 1 week, with just your name. No account needed.

When to use it

Use this when someone sends you a KeyUp link or shows you a QR code.

How to do it

  1. Tap the link on your phone, or scan the QR code with your camera. KeyUp opens and shows Opening your invitation. If you already have the link copied, you can also tap Join with an invitation on the welcome screen and paste it.

  2. You’ll see You’re invited, with who invited you, where, and when the pass ends.

  3. Pick Guest pass and tap Continue as guest. Under What should people call you? type your name, then tap Join.

    Pick the name people will see.

  4. Already have a KeyUp account? Pick With my account and sign in or create one. You join on the same pass and can ask to stay.

    Join as a guest or with your account.

  5. If the room needs a PIN, you’ll see This room needs a PIN from the person who invited you. Type the 4-digit Room PIN and continue.
