Move a call to your watch or phone

Answered on your phone but want to walk away with your watch? Tap Move call here and keep talking.

What it is

A call lives on one of your devices at a time. While you’re on a call, your other device offers Move call here. One tap moves the call to that device. It’s the same call, with the same timer, and the other person keeps talking. They hear a short gap at most.

When to use it

Use it when you answered on your phone and want to put the phone down and keep talking on your watch, or the other way round.

How to do it

  1. Start or answer a call on your phone. On your watch, a notification says Call with the other person’s name and On your phone, with a Move call here button. If KeyUp is open on the watch, it shows the same thing as a screen.

  2. Tap Move call here. The call’s sound moves to your watch, and your phone leaves the call without hanging up. Your phone shows Call moved to your watch.

  3. It works the other way too. With the call on your watch, your phone shows a banner at the top: Call with the name, On your watch, and a green Move call here button. The same button is in the notification.

  4. Don’t want to move it? On the watch, tap Not now. The call stays where it is.
