Add or change your profile picture

Pick a photo or take one, move it into the circle, and it shows next to your name everywhere.

What it is

Your profile picture shows next to your name in rooms, People, messages, calls and on the watch. Friends and people in your Spaces see it. Without one, you get your initials in a color.

When to use it

Use it when you want people to recognize you at a glance.

How to do it

Go to the You tab and tap your picture, or Change picture under your name.

Change picture.
Tap Choose from gallery to pick a photo, or Take a photo to use the camera. KeyUp doesn’t need access to all your photos or your camera for this.
Drag to move the picture and pinch to zoom. The circle is what people see. Tap Use picture.

A bar shows the upload, then KeyUp checks the picture. When it’s done you see Your picture is updated.

To go back to your initials, open Change picture again and tap Remove picture.

Tips

If you see That picture can’t be used. Please choose another., the picture didn’t pass our check. Pick a different one.
Pictures are paused right now means checks are down for a bit. Your current picture still shows. Try again later.
The limit is 10 MB. KeyUp shrinks big photos for you, and removes location and other hidden details before it sends them.
Guest passes can’t add a picture. Create an account first.
Who sees it: you, your friends and people who share a Space or a room with you, only while signed in. People you block don’t. It’s never a public link.
Every new picture is checked automatically on KeyUp’s own server, not by an outside company. Removing or replacing your picture deletes the old one right away.
See a picture that shouldn’t be there? Tap the person, then Report picture (next to Block) and pick a reason.
