Leave a room or hand over admin
Leave any room, pick who looks after it, or hand over a Space.
What it is
You can always leave a room, even your only one. If you run it, KeyUp makes sure someone else looks after it. Space owners can hand the whole Space to someone else.
When to use it
Use it when you’re done with a room or a team, or when someone else should run it.
How to do it

Open the room, tap Room settings, then Leave room. Confirm with Leave room.

You stay in the Space with no room picked. The Talk tab says You’re not in a room until you pick one.

If you’re the last admin and others are still there, KeyUp asks Who looks after #room? Pick someone and tap Make admin and leave.

Alone in a room you run? Tap Leave and delete to remove it as you go, or just leave and the Space admins look after it. General is never deleted.

To hand over without leaving, open Room settings and tap Make someone else admin.

For a whole Space, open Space settings. Owners tap Transfer ownership to hand it over, or Leave Space, which asks who takes it over first. If you’re the only one there, leaving means typing the Space’s name to delete it.
