Set up a watch without a phone

Add your watch from any phone or computer with the code or QR the watch shows. No KeyUp phone app needed.

What it is

Your watch can join your KeyUp account on its own. The watch shows a code and a QR code. Open the pairing page on any phone or computer, sign in (or make an account) and the watch signs itself in.

When to use it

Use it if you only use KeyUp on your watch, if your phone isn’t Android, or if your KeyUp phone isn’t with you.

How to do it

  1. On the watch, open KeyUp. You see Add this watch, a 6-character code and a QR code, with Scan with any phone or go to …/pair under it.

  2. Scan the QR code with any phone camera. The pairing page opens with the code already filled in. On a computer, type the address the watch shows (it ends in /pair) and then the code.

  3. Choose I have an account and sign in, or I’m new to KeyUp to make one (username, password, name and birth year). Then tap Add my watch.

    Approve the watch on the pairing page.

  4. The page says Done. Your watch is signing in now. The watch opens the talk screen by itself. You can close the page.
