Pause open mic when nobody talks

Let open mic pause itself after 15, 30 or 60 minutes without talking. You still hear the room.

What it is

Open mic keeps your microphone running. Pause open mic after turns just the mic off when nobody has talked for a while, to save battery. You keep hearing the room the whole time.

When to use it

Use it if you leave open mic on for long stretches, especially on the watch.

How to do it

  1. On your phone, go to You › Sound › Your voice. Under Pause open mic after, pick 15 min, 30 min or 60 min. Off is the default.

  2. On the watch, swipe up, tap Talk sounds and vibration, then tap Pause open mic until it shows the time you want.

    Set it on the watch.

  3. When it pauses, you feel 2 buzzes and the talk screen says Open mic paused. The room still plays.

  4. To turn it back on, tap the talk button, or turn the crown on the watch.
