Notifications on your watch

Your watch shows its own KeyUp notifications, with or without your phone nearby.

What it is

KeyUp on the watch shows its own notifications for messages, direct messages, @mentions, friend requests, invitations, requests to stay and missed calls. Your phone’s KeyUp notifications are not copied to the watch, so you get each one once.

When to use it

Use it to choose what your watch buzzes for, or if your watch is quiet or buzzing twice.

How to do it

  1. On the watch, swipe up for the controls and tap Notifications.

  2. Under Where notifications go, pick Phone and watch, Watch only when it’s connected or Phone only. This is one setting for your account, the same as on your phone.

  3. Under On this watch, turn each kind on or off for this watch only: Messages, Friend requests, Invitations, Calls and Missed calls.

  4. Tap a notification on the watch to open that chat, your calls or your requests.
