Talking from your phone and your watch

You can talk from either one, but only one at a time. The last one you talk on takes over.

What it is

Your phone and your watch are both you, so KeyUp never lets them talk to the room at the same time. Whichever you start talking on last takes over, and the other one stops.

When to use it

Read this if your phone says Talking on your watch, or your watch buzzes three times and says You’re talking on your other device.

How to do it

  1. Press to talk on your watch while your phone was talking. The phone stops at once and shows Talking on your watch. The same happens the other way round.

  2. Press on the phone again whenever you like. A press always takes over.

  3. If the phone had Open mic on, it pauses while you talk on the watch, and turns itself back on when you stop.

  4. An open mic never interrupts you on purpose. If you’re holding to talk on one device, the open mic on the other waits. If you try, you feel three quick buzzes and see You’re talking on your other device.
