Where notifications go: phone, watch or both

Choose whether your phone, your watch, or both buzz for messages and calls.

What it is

One setting for your whole account decides which device buzzes: Phone and watch, Watch only when it’s connected, or Phone only.

When to use it

Use it if both devices buzz and you only want one, or you want your phone quiet while you wear your watch.

How to do it

  1. Go to You › Notifications › Where notifications go.

  2. Phone and watch (the default): your phone shows notifications and your watch gets them too.

  3. Watch only when it’s connected: while your watch is connected, only the watch buzzes and your phone stays quiet. Badges in the app still update. If the watch isn’t connected, your phone takes over.

  4. Phone only: your watch stays quiet. Keep Calls on watch on if you still want calls to ring on your wrist.
