The talk button on my phone is dimmed
Your mic is set to your watch. Talk on the watch, or change it in a couple of taps.
What it is
With Talk on watch, listen on phone, your phone plays the room and your watch is your mic. The phone’s mic stays off on purpose, so its talk button is dimmed and the hint under it says Your mic is set to your watch. Talk on your watch, or change it in You > Talk and listen.
When to use it
Read this if the phone’s talk button looks faded, or you pressed it and got a note about your watch.
How to do it

To talk right now, use your watch: turn the crown or tap talk there. While you do, the phone shows Talking on your watch.

If you press the dimmed button on the phone, a sheet opens: Your mic is set to your watch. Nothing is sent.

To talk on the phone too, tap Change it. KeyUp takes you to You › Devices › Talk and listen. Pick Phone only or Both devices. Or tap OK to keep things as they are.
