Delete messages, transcripts and clips, or clear a room

Remove your own messages, transcript lines and Rewind clips. Moderators can remove anyone’s, and owners and admins can clear a room’s history.

What it is

Anyone can delete what they said or sent: their own messages, transcript lines and Rewind clips. In a room you moderate you can delete anyone’s, including the AI assistant’s answers. Space owners, admins and moderators moderate every room they can open in their Space, and a room can have its own moderators too. Owners and admins can also clear a room’s whole history.

When to use it

Use it to take down something that breaks your Space’s rules, a message sent to the wrong room, or old history you don’t need.

How to do it

  1. A message: press and hold it and tap Delete. Confirm. It’s deleted for everyone in the room. In the web app, right click the message (or press and hold it).

  2. A transcript line or a Rewind clip: open the room’s chat, tap the options button at the top, choose Rewind and transcripts, tap the bin next to the line or clip (or press and hold it), then Delete for everyone. In the web app, open the room’s options and tap Transcripts.

  3. Clear room history (owners and admins): open Room settings, scroll down and tap Clear room history. Choose Chat messages, Transcripts and Rewind clips (all are on), tap Continue, read what will be deleted, then tap Clear for everyone. In the web app it’s in the room’s options.
