What the web app and iPhone can’t do
The web app works while it is open, and leaves out some phone features. Here is what, and what to use instead.
The web app (in Safari, the Home Screen app or any browser) only listens and talks while the page is open and awake. KeyUp is in English only on every device.
Web app and iPhone
- Locked screen and background: no listening or talking. Keep KeyUp open in front, with Keep the screen on in a room on.
- iPhone: no native app yet; no volume-key talk, no Push-to-talk key, and KeyUp can’t lower other apps’ music. Notifications only from the Home Screen app, and calls don’t ring when the page is closed.
- Calls: no room calls, no Add to call, no Move call here. No private calls on iPhone or in browsers without the needed features.
- Messages: no sending photos or voice notes, no editing, no Rewind replay or History.
- AI: no Ask AI button. Say the assistant’s name first, or type @name.
- Audio: no Microphone or Sound comes out of pickers, Bluetooth audio, Volume boost, Even out voices, headphones prompt, or Sound and Mic switches. Mic boost and Open mic sensitivity are there.
- Admin: only Availability, Mute, Transcripts, Talk limits and Clear room history in room options, plus Remove from room and End guest pass. No room editor, Space settings, roles, Archive, Delete, Leave, plan page, assistant setup or invitation list.
- Account: no profile picture, Devices list, notification routing, crash reports switch, first-time setup or problem report form. Email, Change password, Download my data, Email my data to me and Delete account are there.
- Watch features: no crown and no raise to talk.
